Working with AAH Christ Medical Center on several projects, TERRA Landscape Architecture provided design upgrades to the main plaza drop-off and provided security design for its four parking garages. Starting at the drop-off area, improvements included additional 4-season planting, shade, and a COVID memorial. Upon reviewing the existing conditions at the four parking garages, best practices, and suicide prevention research, the design team provided an assessment of the existing parking garage safety conditions. These assessments resulted in retrofitting architectural screening devices on the top level of the four existing parking garages and cable screening on the lower levels with TERRA’s structural engineers.
