DEPAUL COLLEGE PREP HIGH SCHOOL
Working strategically over a multi-phase plan, DePaul College Prep High School has become a beacon to the neighborhood aiding in substantial enrollment increases since moving to its current location. Retrofitting an existing community college into a high school campus, the site renovations included a new drop-off area and entry plaza, athletic field, seating areas, and vegetable garden enclosure. The artificial turf field is used for high school football, soccer, and lacrosse with permanent bleachers, press box, and bathrooms. Along with the field, a new four-lane track and a long jump runway were installed. The site renovations include the siting of several sculptures, memorial benches, and native pollinator gardens with a focus on four-season planting. The vegetable garden includes ADA-compliant raised beds, gathering areas, and large planting beds to support an active gardening program with the High School.
