HARPER COLLEGE MASTER PLAN

TERRA was part of the project team that had two tasks 1) to complete a site-wide facilities assessment and 2) create a campus masterplan for the next 10 years. The masterplan ensured a focused approach to campus growth over the next decade.

The scope included a needs assessment of the 190-acre campus including a review of existing vegetation, trees, parking, paving, and furnishings. As part of the grounds assessment staff identified areas that had currently required excessive maintenance to inform and guide future design and engineering projects to achieve less required maintenance. The team provided traffic circulation and parking diagrams in the plan to provide a comprehensive approach to improving the existing parking usage and circulation of traffic. Following work on the masterplan, TERRA has been involved in several of the new phases as identified in the masterplan including the new Business and Social Sciences Center.
